Mill Town Charitable Foundation (“MTCF”) is a newly formed 501c3 Public Charity based in Pittsfield, Massachusetts.
Our Mission
Mill Town Charitable Foundation advances educational excellence and opportunity in the Berkshires by supporting innovative programs, strengthening local schools and community partners, and investing in evidencebased models that improve outcomes for all learners. We work collaboratively to develop, test, and scale solutions that can be replicated nationwide to ensure every child has access to a highquality, equitable education.
We envision a thriving Berkshire community where every child succeeds through strong schools, empowered families, and a vibrant ecosystem of educational opportunity—and where the models created here inspire and inform transformative changes in communities across the country.
Our Approach
Leveraging the expertise, network, and track record of the Mill Town platform, this new entity will focus on achieving substantial improvements to educational outcomes in our region. We intend to drive partnerships with regional educational stakeholders and institutions, while working closely with funding partners including individuals, corporations, government entities, and foundations nationwide.
Our goal is to create a transformational impact for students and families in Pittsfield and beyond. We are driven by the belief that high-quality education, both traditional and experiential, is a cornerstone of thriving communities. Pittsfield has considerable unmet need in this area, and we view this opportunity as a potential test base that could be leveraged by other parts of the country following proof of concept.
Mill Town is an impact investment enterprise based in the Berkshires of Western Massachusetts. We pursue traditional and impact investments in real estate, private equity, and venture capital across a variety of business sectors. Our team has a depth of expertise in business operations, finance, marketing, investment, and impact measurement. Our geographic focus is New England and Eastern New York.
